Fatal Truck Crash on Warrego Highway
A double fatality crash has taken place on the Warrego Highway at North Ipswich.
According to reports a 57 year old couple in their minivan were travelling to a weekend getaway when a fuel tanker lost control and crashed into them.
The westbound stretch of the Warrego Highway had to be closed for hours as the crash was cleared.
Police believe the weather was a factor in the crash, it had been raining heavily at the time of the crash.
Both occupants of the minivan were killed. The truck driver was treated for minor injuries.
