Last Friday marked the first NatRoad Regional Trucking Summit which took place at the Dubbo RSL. The focus of the summit was to ensure business owners are ready to face the challenges of the future.
A presentation from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) kicked off the summit covering the biggest changes to the industry in 2017 and 2018 – chain of responsibility changes.
The regulator highlighted that all parties in the chain of responsibility will be responsible for proactively managing the risks related to transport. Trucking operators must understand the impacts this could have on business operations.
The next regional summit will be held in Toowoomba and is open for all in the industry to attend for free.
