Driver Killed in Central Queensland Truck Collision
A driver was recently killed when the vehicle he was driving collided with a truck in central Queensland.
The 34 year old man from Collinsville crashed his utility vehicle into the truck while driving on the Newlands Access Road near Glenden, west of Mackay. The driver died on the scene while the truck driver was not injured.
Recently a report by RACQ found there are some road rules that Australians are simply not obeying, resulting in a millions of dollars in fines and road accidents. Some of the most commonly ignored road rules according to RACQ include,
- failure to stop at a stop sign
- disobeying ‘no right turn’ signs
- keep a safe following distance
- driving without lights on
- driving without L-plates
