Police say the truck rollover in Coffs Harbour CBD recently was not as a result of driver fatigue, following an investigation.

According to Detective Inspector Darren Jameson, the driver had taken a rest break shortly before the accident.

There were reports of skid marks near the scene of the accident on the Pacific Highway between Combine Street and West High Street, police are investigating whether speed played a role in the incident.

A Queensland truck driver was pinned by the legs following the rollover. It took emergency services an hour to free the 43 year old man following the crash.  He is assisting police with their investigation.

It is believed the man was transporting building waste from Sydney to Queensland when the truck tipped across the south and north bound lanes.  Source: https://www.bigrigs.com.au/news/truck-driver-had-rest-break-cbd-highway-smash/3722429/
