Chain of Responsibility resources are the focus of police scrutiny in the state of Victoria. Senior officer, Bernie Rankin says how the police tackle chain of responsibility is on his agenda and resources available are under scrutiny.

South Australian authorities have implemented new provisions that allow police to inform the owners or operators of trucks about serious offences committed by drivers.

With the chain of responsibility laws currently under review with possible reform on the cards and the development of primary duties which focus on safety, Senior Victorian Police Officer Bernie Rankin is calling for the reforms to include provisions on drug use.
