Chain of Responsibility Introduced in The USA
The USA has introduced laws similar to the Chain of Responsibility laws here in Australia, to hold the supply chain accountable if truckies are coerced into breaking the law.
The laws mean that companies in the country will be held responsible if they breach transport regulations.
The laws, are meant to protect truck drivers from any party in the supply chain including shipping companies, trucking companies, receivers and intermediaries that may coerce them into breaking transport regulations, including breaking mandatory driving hours in order to meet delivery deadlines.
