Tunnel Damaged by Truck

The consequences of a truck accident has resulted in $260,000 worth of damage to the Acton Tunnel recently, excluding the cost of future repairs.
Roads ACT reportedly had to spend the large sum on emergency works after a truck crashed into the tunnel.
The truck which caused the chaos was transporting an excavator when it smashed into the tunnel, resulting in a 2 day long closure.
The tunnel has been temporarily repaired as authorities consider how to repair the tunnel properly.
The driver and operator have not been penalised.
