First Operator Accredited under NHVR Livestock Fatigue Management SchemeThe consequences of driving longer hours than allowed has been highlighted by a case involving a driver that admitted to driving for 13 and a half hours without a rest break.

A driver is appearing in court over the fatigue related offences, including failure to rest for the sufficient time frame.

Make sure you’re keeping an accurate work diary, taking the sufficient number of breaks and that your breaks are sufficiently long. Never exceed maximum driving hours or you too could find your self in court of worse, in hospital, jail or dead.
