Chaos Ensues as Truck Brings Down Power Lines

A truck recently caused chaos in North Melbourne as it brought down tram lines during peak-hour rush.

Roads were closed and drivers and commuters suffered significantly delays as roads was gridlocked with up to 5km of traffic from Carlton to Flemington.

The chaos was caused by a truck that tore down overhead lines on Racecourse Road in North Melbourne. The CityLink inbound on-ramp was also closed for a number of hours. Trams on route 57 had to be diverted.
