Fast acting passers-by saved the life of a truck driver whose truck cab became engulfed in flames after a crash in the early hours of the morning on Melbourne’s West Gate Freeway.

The quick thinking people pulled the truck driver to safety shortly before the cabin burst into flames.

The truck was carrying an empty shipping container at the time when it crashed through road barriers and traveled for 150 metres before coming to a stop and catching alight.

The 44 year old driver was fortunate to escape serious injury or burns and was taken to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. See more at http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-17/truckie-rescued-before-semi-trailer-burst-into-flames-melbourne/9457496
