VicRoads Calls for Feedback on Monash Truck Restrictions

VicRoads is proceeding to the second stage of its Monash Freeway traffic management trial which will mean that trucks of more than 4.5 tonnes will not be allowed to use the far right lane on the Monash Freeway between Huntingdale Road and Jacksons Road.

According to the Vic Roads Authority, this will improve safety because it will minimise the number of lane changes by cars and trucks.

If the trial does not compromise safety, it is planned to run for nine months. The trial will be monitored by VicRoads.
