Erratic Truck Driver Faces Court
A truck driver is facing court after police witnessed him swerving onto the wrong side of the road while driving a road train on the Eyre rural highway.
The man was ordered to have a 7 hour break by police who were notified that he was driving erratically. Highway patrols tracked down the driver just east of Ceduna and witnessed the vehicle swerve over the central lane multiple times.
The truck also veered into oncoming traffic and travelled for about 100m on the wrong side of the road.
The 55 year old driver was stopped by police who alleged the man was extremely fatigued, as evidenced by his driving behaviour.
He was reported for driving while impaired by fatigue and will appear in court later this month.
