Log Truck Incident Sends Man to Hospital

A man has been injured in a log truck incident. The Glenwood man, in his sixties was injured when a log fell off a truck and struck him in the head. He was rushed to Gympie Hospital for treatment.

The man suffered apparent minor neck and shoulder injuries but the consequences could have been much worse.

While the man remains in a stable condition, the risk of being injured by falling loads is one that cannot be ignored. Loads such as logs are notorious for moving around during the journey and falling once the truck is stationary, which is probably what happened in this incident.

Truck drivers and anyone offloading trucks must be aware of the risks of shifting loads.  Source: https://www.bigrigs.com.au/news/log-truck-mishap-lands-man-in-gympie-hospital/3483147/
