One Fatality as Car Turns in front of Truck

A crash that occurred west of Brisbane, at Willowbank around 7am in the morning was apparently caused when a 4WD vehicle turned into the path of a truck headed south on the Cunningham Highway.

A young woman who was a passenger in the 4WD vehicle was killed and the driver was rushed to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the incident.

This crash is a tragic reminder of the importance of education for drivers and other road-users about driving safely around trucks and heavy vehicles.
