Truck Crash Prompts Raid of Landscaping Firm

Following a serious crash in Glenhaven, officers from NSW Police Traffic & Highway Patrol’s Traffic Task Force raided a landscaping supply company to inspect their heavy vehicles.

Two trucks collided in the crash at a roundabout recently with one of the drivers having to be driven to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries. The other truck driver escaped without injury.

Police said a compliance inspection was conducted at the company, with 25 vehicles inspected.

The officers found 10 minor defects, 2 weight mass breaches and 2 major defects for hydraulic leaks, engine oil leaks and an insecure steering box were found.

Officers also conducted 35 breath tests and 10 drug tests.
