Queensland Pledges Another $25m on Electric Highway

The Queensland government has promised $2.5million for 13 more charging points on the Queensland Electric Super Highway. The current $3million, 17 station stretch of highway has 1900km of fast-charging network from the New South Wales border to Far North Queensland via Brisbane and west to Toowoomba.

There have so far been 2900 charging sessions since the project was completed last year.

The first charging stations in the region were opened in Cairns and 2 more at Hamilton.

Since its launch, charging has been free however the cost moratorium will continue only until mid-2019.
