Crash Leaves Motorist and Police Injured

A crash involving 2 cars and a truck carrying chemicals left a motorist injured and resulted in several police officers being treated for chemical inhalation.

The motorist is in a stable condition after the accident in Perth’s north-east. The crash happened around 2:18pm at Mirrabooka Avenue and Balga Avenue, in Balga on January 11th.

A passenger from one of the cars was hospitalised at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital but is apparently in a stable condition,

The truck was carrying chemicals at the time of the crash, including hydrochloric acid an household bleach. Several of the police officers who attended the scene reported having breathing difficulties and were treated at the scene.

The crash also caused a tree to catch a light and a power line to come down.
