NSW Joint Operation Uncovers Drug Driving and Load Restraint Breaches

During the recent Australasian Road Safety Conference in Canberra, trucking giant Toll has detailed some measures it says will help improve road safety.

Toll was a major sponsor at the conference and a spokesperson for the company Sarah Jones mentioned a list of proposed trucking industry reforms to improve safety.

She highlighted issues around operator licensing, compulsory electronic logbooks and more stringent enforcement of the chain of responsibility.

She also mentioned that evidence indicates the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) with its concept of chain of responsibility has actually made the roads safety.
