Melbourne Major Roadway Shutdown after Pedestrian Run Over

A pedestrian was struck by a car and then a truck on a major Melbourne freeway’s inbound lane.

The freeway was closed after the death of the pedestrian early in the morning, before 5:30am on the Princes Freeway at Point Cook Road in Laverton.

The identity of the man was unknown however an investigation was launched.

The incident brought the Victorian road death toll to 161 for 2018, which is 34 less than last year’s total of 195.
