NSW Police Operation Results in 33 Defect Notices

Operation Catapult, a 2 day heavy vehicle blitz conducted by the New South Wales police yielded alarming results with 33 defect notices being issued.

The heavy vehicle inspections took place across the city with the goal of removing dangerous heavy vehicles from the road for the safety of all road-users.

There were also cases of speed limiter tampering discovered. Police downloaded 14 electronic speed limiters and found 4 that were non-compliant.

There were 22 infringements issued for various offences.

Officials warned that anyone who thought they could get away with driving or owning a truck that was not compliant, were wrong.
