A rollover on the Western Downs left a male driver pinned under a prime mover for more than 2 hours. Emergency responders say the man is lucky to have escaped without more serious injuries after the incident.
The driver believed to be in his 40s was found by emergency services who responded to an accident call, trapped under the cabin.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services began a long extrication process, removing the roof of the truck to get to the injured man.
The man’s leg was pinned under the door and he was freed just before 8pm. He sustained injuries to his pelvis and leg. He was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
